Day 2: Masterclass with Erik Kessels

The second day will start with a short portfolio "Blind Date" - this means that every person at the masterclass will bring their portfolio in a white envelope and everyone gets to randomly pick and present someone else's portfolio.
After this, Erik will touch ‘shorter’ topics, show examples and discuss them with the group.
This will be randomly intercepted by small exercises.

*Please keep in mind that:
1 - there are only 20 seats available on Day 2
2 - the candidates for Day 2 are kindly required to include their CV + Portfolio to their application for a pre-screening, after completing the form below. The pre-screening will be made by ADC*RO & St Brendan teams, only to make sure that we'll have a good mix of personalities and works.
3 - the registration for Day 2 will end on 19th of February and the final candidates will be announced on 20th February

About Erik Kessels

Born in 1966, Erik lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He’s a Dutch artist, designer and curator with great interest in photography. Since 1996, Erik is the Creative Director of communications agency KesselsKramer, in Amsterdam, and works for national and international clients such as Nike, Diesel, J&B Whisky, Oxfam, Ben, Vitra, Citizen M and The Hans Brinker Budget Hotel.

About Valentin Suciu

Creative Partner at Jazz Communication and ADC*RO President, Vali fell in love with humans through photography and documentary film. He started to study music and the piano 6 years ago, planning to make his first public appearance before turning 50. He started working in advertising 21 years ago, as a copywriter for BBDO Romania. In 2016, Jazz Communication – the company he co-founded together with Irina Pencea and Diana Benko – was the first ever independent Romanian ad agency to win a Gold in the world-famous Cannes Lions festival. 2018, too, was good with Jazz, bringing them a pencil at D&Ad Global Impact Awards and a Grand Effie in the Effie Romania competition.

About Laura Ionescu

Laura Ionescu is one of the two co-founders of “Dume de Mestecat”, together with Ioana Zvâc. Since she was 12, she had been passionate about everything that involves word play, from naive poetry, short stories, articles and even to a Masters in microhistory. She wanted to become a war journalist, but decided to remain in the country, fighting ideas and society: she has been a copywriter for ten years now and became an activist when she realised that we are responsible for the world we live in. She's currently a freelancer, balancing her commercial projects, NGO trainings and passion for writing.

About Mihai Coliban

Before joining the St.Brendan team, Mihai served for 9 years as a Creative Director for the Russian office of BBDO Worldwide, managing some scary big global and local brands, scoring hundreds of creative awards while growing nearly every brand his teams touched. Mihai has got 22 years in the creative industries, and is currently freelancing internationally. He graduated Hyper Island in Digital Media (MA), and is on his way to getting his 3rd Masters Degree, in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
